Current guidance
As of 2026-03-01, the most recent claim on this subject.
The show describes scouting and shed hunting through recent trips and results rather than fixed rules. Terry recalls hanging trail cameras on a Kentucky timber property, already getting a decent buck on camera, and scouting a roughly 500-acre southern Illinois property becoming available for lease. Don drove eight hours to a low-pressure Minnesota public tract but found other hunters already there and judged the odds of killing a good buck extremely low. Terry found two shed antlers riding his new Grub Implement side-by-side, while Don found about five sheds pulling 23 cameras the day before. Areas east of Don typically show the same deer activity he reports, about one to two days later.
